Part-Time Office Manager (4-5 days a week)
Job Description
Take responsibility for the smooth running of our small (yet rapidly growing) fast paced PR office located in Club Street where your professionalism, initiative and office skills will be welcomed. You will have plenty of room to be creative and management is always open to new ideas.
ACCOUNTING
• have previous experience managing the accounting side of a business
• experience preparing invoices
• experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• able to manage payroll
• prior experience with MYOB is preferable
• able to provide support to Office Book Keeper
ADMIN/OFFICE SUPPORT
• supporting two directors with diaries & appointments
• research into new equipment, software and dealing with preferred suppliers (inventory, supplies)in conjunction with Accounts person to continually update and maintain operations manual of preferred suppliers
• travel co-ordination as required
• maintaining office stock and supplies
• basic office reception duties
• supporting part-time accountant with invoice and cheque preparation
HR SUPPORT
• holidays, leave, recruitment, processing visa applications, interns, new starter orientation, working with our part-time accountant to get out pay roll & timesheets
• reviewing and updating induction manual
• staff training
• manage and maintain all HR files
• overseeing the recruitment of new staff, sometimes including training and induction
• promoting staff development and training
• manage PDR process and supporting documents
IT SUPPORT
• troubleshoot and manage IT queries and issues
• manage IT support with IA by maintaining IT Log
• maintain and update IT inventory
This position will suit you if you have good interpersonal and presentation skills, and office management experience. You need to be self-directed and have organisational and problem-solving skills.
Applicants must have:
- experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- a positive disposition
- have previous experience managing the accounting side of a business
- previous experience with MYOB preferred
